The Russian House in Belgrade hosted a presentation of the novel by the writer from Republic of Srpska, Marko D. Markovic, “Closed in themselves”.

In 2022, this psychological novel with Russian heroes appealing to Dostoevsky won the first place in the 6th Drina Literary Meetings contest. "Closed in themselves" is an example of a modern vision and experience of classical Russian culture by a 21st-century Serbian writer.

In addition to the author himself, Professor Ilija Kaitez, journalist and writer from Banja Luka Neda Gavrich, translator and critic Dayana Lazarević, editor-in-chief of the publishing house Dejan Spasoevich spoke at the evening.

The speakers emphasized the love for Russia, the inextricable relationship between Serbian and Russian cultures, as well as the importance of Russian classics for modern residents of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska.

The remote access center to information resources of the Presidential Library, opened in 2015 at the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Belgrade, today allows guests of the Russia House to learn about the whole variety of collections of the library's electronic holdings.

Visitors to the Russia House will also be interested in the collection of books and archival documents Russia - Serbia: the History of Relations on the Presidential Library’s portal. The collection tells about the history of Serbia from ancient times, and also reflects the relationship between Serbia and Russia in military, economic and cultural spheres.
