The Presidential Library invites students to go in for the contest

The Presidential Library has begun accepting term papers, final qualifying papers, articles, reports and other research materials for the contest of student papers.

The main objectives of the contest are to draw attention to the history of Russian statehood, culture and the Russian language, to develop students' skills in conducting scientific research using archival documents and other materials from the Presidential Library’s electronic collections.

The main condition for participation in the contest is the obligatory use of at least three sources from the Presidential Library’s electronic collections, which involve more than a million depository items. These are book publications, archival documents, periodicals, photo, audio and video materials in various disciplines, including Russian history, jurisprudence, the Russian language, geography, art history and many other areas.

Students studying at universities in Russia and foreign countries, regardless of citizenship, place of residence and study, course of study, educational program of higher education, have an opportunity to forward their research papers.

The materials will be evaluated by the jury in the following nominations: "The best term paper using the Presidential Library’s electronic collections"; "The best graduation qualification / diploma work using the Presidential Library’s electronic collections"; "The best research work using the Presidential Library’s electronic collections".  

The contest participants can submit no more than one work in each of the nominations.

Contest materials are accepted until June 30, 2023 inclusive. At the awards ceremony, which will take place in November 2023, the winners will be awarded diplomas.
