The third stage of the Olympiad of the Presidential Library Russia in the Electronic World completed

The final of the Olympiad Russia in the Electronic World was held on March 15-17, 2023 in St. Petersburg and at the remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library in Russia and abroad. According to the results of the previous stage, more than two hundred schoolchildren and students from 36 regions of the Russian Federation and Republic of Belarus passed to the third round.

The Olympiad Russia in the Electronic World was held in history, social studies and the Russian language for students of grades 10-11, as well as students mastering educational programs of secondary vocational education in the field of arts from Russia and foreign countries. At the contest, the guys tried their hand at each of the disciplines or choose the subject in which they understand best. The Olympiad was held from September 21, 2022 to March 17, 2023 and included three mandatory stages. Summing up is carried out according to the results of the individual offset. Winners and prize-awardees will be awarded with diplomas.

The main objective of the contest is to introduce students to deal with archival sources of information on the history, theory and practice of Russian statehood, because the electronic collections of the Presidential Library contain more than a million digitized copies of rare documents that make up the cultural heritage of our country. The event is aimed at finding and supporting young talents, popularizing humanitarian knowledge among the youth.

The Olympiad Russia in the Electronic World was established by the Presidential Library and St. Petersburg State University of Economics. The co-organizers of the event are Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University and South-Western State University.

This academic year, about 3,000 schoolchildren and students were involved in the contest. During the entire existence of the interactive educational project - since 2010 - about 55,000 people have tried their hand at it, many of whom later entered leading Russian universities.
