Remote Access Center to Resources of Presidential Library established at the Institute of History, Archaeology, and Ethnography

On September 2, 2024, the official opening of the Center for Remote Access to the Resources of the Presidential Library based at the Institute of History, Archaeology, and Ethnography Far Eastern Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, took place. This event was attended by Yuri Nosov, Director General of the Library, and Nikolai Kradin, Director of the Institute.

During the past year, the Presidential Library received over a hundred electronic documents from the institute. These include historical and ethnographic essays, collections of scientific articles, historical and geographical studies, monographs, journals, and other materials. The transfer of these documents to the Library's collection will continue.

The Presidential Library serves as an information partner for the open database BAM: Through Space and Time. This database includes textual and visual materials from state and departmental archives in different regions of Russia and from internet resources. Scientific reports, documents, and most journalism have been converted into electronic format for the first time.

On the portal of the Presidential Library, readerrs can learn about the legendary construction project of the 20th century on the Baikal-Amur Mainline in a separate electronic collection. This collection includes various materials related to the history of rail construction, such as official documents, plans, reports, photos, event chronicles, and more.

More than two hundred scientific and educational centers, universities, academies, and institutes actively collaborate with the Presidential Library. Its Internet portal hosts an extensive digital collection called The Academy of Sciences and the Development of Russian Science, which celebrates its rich history, current activities, scientific research, and achievements.
