Presidential Library and Ministry of Science and Higher Education develope cooperation

5 October 2024

On October 5, 2024, the Presidential Library of the Administrative Directorate of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education signed a cooperation agreement in Tyumen.

Yuri Nosov, Director General of the Presidential Library, and Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science, signed the document.

The agreement focuses on long-term cooperation between organizations in information support for science, technology, innovation, and education. It also covers the history, theory, and practice of statehood in Russia and the Russian language.

Under the agreement, the parties will work together on educational, training, and research projects. This includes organizing conferences, seminars, lectures, exhibitions, and other events.

The Presidential Library actively collaborates with higher education institutions. Various projects are being implemented, joint events are held, and access to library information resources is provided remotely in universities across the country. One of the most popular educational initiatives is the video lecture series Knowledge of Russia, which features prominent figures from science, culture, and art, as well as leading experts from academic and educational institutions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other Russian cities. The library also hosts an annual student paper competition that helps to promote awareness of the history of Russian statehood, culture, and the Russian language while fostering students' research skills through the use of archival documents and other resources from the Presidential Library's electronic collections.

On the same day, Yuri Nosov presented a talk on Historical and Educational Activities of the Presidential Library at an enlarged meeting of the Expert Council for the Development of Historical Education within the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation as part of the National History Teachers' Forum.

This forum is a respected platform for discussing the promotion of historical knowledge, establishing unified approaches to interpreting historical events, and countering attempts at falsifying Russian history.
