International seminar among Russian specialists "Budapest Meetings" held in Hungary
The Russian House in Budapest hosted an international scientific and practical seminar on October 25-26, 2024. The event was organized by the Alphabet Cultural and Educational Foundation (Hungary) and the Russian-Swedish Association "Our Culture" (Sweden) to bring together Russian specialists.
The seminar focused on teaching Russian as a second language and as a foreign language in schools of additional education. Participants from Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Latvia, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Turkey, France, Sweden, Estonia, and Russia discussed various aspects of this topic.
During the seminar, experts presented their own methods and textbooks for teaching bilingual children. These materials were developed in collaboration with renowned Russian teachers.
The remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library, which opened in 2013 at the Russian House in Budapest, allows guests today to explore the vast collection of the library's holdings.
Visitors to the Russian Center for Science and Culture will find the Russian Language collection from the electronic library's collection particularly interesting. This collection includes more than 1,100 rare archival documents, such as manuscripts, historical writings, archives, scientific works, dictionaries, reference books, textbooks, and more.
Guests at the Russian House can also explore materials on Russian-Hungarian relations through the Presidential Library's electronic collection Russia - Hungary: the History of Relations.
