Final conference of patriotic competition for Day of Heroes of Fatherland held in Crimea

On December 9, 2024, the final conference of the patriotic contest Heroes of our Country: Past and Present was held at the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library in Simferopol, where students from various educational institutions gathered.

The event was held as part of a series of activities organized by the Franco Library to commemorate the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland and aimed at preserving the significance of events related to the ongoing special military operation, honoring the memory of its participants, and fostering patriotism among younger generations.

The participants of the conference presented their works in the categories Research Papers and Literary Creativity. They reflected on topics such as generational continuity, duty to the motherland, heroic acts and feats.

At the end of the event, attendees were shown a slide presentation of materials from the Presidential Library's collection on military affairs and science.

The collection Republic of Crimea: Pages of History is available on the Presidential Library's portal. It includes archival documents, research papers, essays, photos, and other materials that cover various aspects of the peninsula's history from ancient times until the beginning of the 20th century.
