
Presidential Library's webinar dedicated to versatile personality of Alexander Griboyedov
On February 12th, 2025, at 10:30, the online webinar Alexander Griboyedov: 'Russia's Chosen Son' was broadcasted on the Presidential Library's portal in TV Channel section. This event was dedicated to the 230th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Sergeevich Griboyedov, a poet, diplomat, musician, and statesman.
During the webinar, attendees learned about the family background of the future writer and how it influenced his life. Through the memories of his contemporaries and historical research, viewers will discover the extraordinary nature of Alexander Sergeevich and the significant events in his life. They also learned how he created his renowned work, Woe from Wit.
Viewers could learn the famous comedy not only in the form of a separate publication, but also through the Complete Works of A.S. Griboyedov, which includes other works by the author as well as selected letters that reveal the character of Alexander Sergeevich and his relationships with friends.
