"Chroniclers of history – Spiral of Time through Camera Lens". New photo project presented on Presidential Library's portal
The Presidential Library's portal presents a unique international photo project, Chroniclers of history – Spiral of Time through Camera Lens, which was created in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland.
This project was developed by the editorial team of the New Regions of Russia magazine in collaboration with the East Crimean Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve. It is based on the archival photographs by Evgeny Khaldei, a legendary photographer who captured the events of the Great Patriotic War, as well as the works of Sergei Venyavsky, the editor-in-chief of New Regions and a member of the Russian Union of Journalists.
These photographs show the life in the reunified regions and border areas of Russia from 2022 to 2025.
Russian, English, and German photo exhibitions with textual explanations demonstrate to the world the indomitable spirit of the Russian people in their fight against fascism in the past and today's neo-Nazism, while preserving the historical memory of important events of the 20th and 21st centuries for future generations.
Partners in this photo project include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the governments of Leningrad region and St. Petersburg, and Rostov region, as well as the Foundation for Support and Protection of Compatriots Abroad, Russian Military Historical Society, Presidential Library, Russian State Library, Promsvyazbank, TASS, Donetsk News Agency, PRO-Translation, CSK LO, and Apollo Digital.
