The TV Channel section of the Presidential Library's portal broadcasts films, video lectures and webinars prepared by the institution, as well as video tapes of the leading Russian film and TV studios around the clock. This means that it is convenient to watch them for users from any region of Russia, as well as from any country. We offer you the most interesting videos timed to commemorative and significant dates from 16 to 30 April.

On 16 April 1934 the title of Hero of the Soviet Union was established by the Decree of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR. Thanks to the films from the cycle "Heroes of Victory" of the historical channel "365 Days TV" it is possible to learn for what feats this high rank was awarded to the chief of communication of the aviation squadron of the 46th Guards night bomber aviation regiment Gelman and the frontline correspondent of the newspaper "Znamya Rodiny" S. A. Borzenko, the commander of the machine-gun crew of the 54th rifle regiment of the 25th Chapaev Division Onilova and telephonist of the communications platoon of the 1147th rifle regiment Gredin, as well as other defenders of the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War.

On 19 April 1783 Empress Catherine II signed the Highest Manifesto On taking the Crimean Peninsula, Taman Island and all the Kuban side under the Russian power. To this historical date on the portal of the Presidential Library the video lecture "255 years of the beginning of the reign of Catherine II" and the documentary film "Another Heritage", which tells about the archaeological excavations on the territory of the Crimean peninsula, are shown.

On 20 April 1942, during the Rzhevsko-Vyazemskaya operation, the Battle of Moscow ended. On the 83rd anniversary of one of the major events of the Second World War, the Presidential Library offers to watch the films of the cycle "On the Way to the Great Victory" of the historical channel "365 Days TV". The authors of the documentary "The Defence of Moscow" acquaint viewers with the main milestones of the city's defence using interviews with veterans and historians, newsreel footage. The film "Moscow. Autumn 1941" tells about the preparation of the city to repel Hitler's attack. The Presidential Library's TV channel will also show a documentary chronicle depicting the events of the Battle of Moscow.

155 years ago, on 22 April 1870, the future politician and statesman, creator of the Soviet socialist state, one of the leaders of the international communist movement Vladimir Lenin (real name Ulyanov) was born in Simbirsk. To mark this day, the TV Channel is showing a video lecture Historical Memory of Lenin and The Battle for History, a documentary film October that became November, as well as fragments of newsreels Under the Banner of May Day and Science and Soviet Power in 1918.

On 23 April 1857, Alexander II approved the detailed description of the state emblem of the Russian Empire, which remained largely unchanged until 1917. The history of the formation of one of the main heraldic signs from Ancient Rus to modern Russia is told in the film trilogy State Symbols of Russia, shot at the film studio "Lendok". The authors tell about the thousand-year history of Russia through the prism of heraldic continuity. The topic of creation and development of the country's state symbols will be continued with video lectures by Gleb Kalashnikov, Executive Secretary of the Heraldic Council under the President of the Russian Federation.

260 years ago, on 27 April 1765 the future lieutenant general of the Russian army, hero of the Patriotic War of 1812 Nikolai Alexeyevich Tuchkov was born. On this day the Presidential Library portal will broadcast documentary films dedicated to the war with Napoleon - Borodino. Battle of the Giants, Napoleon in Moscow and others.

To the International Dance Day, which is celebrated on 29 April, the screening of video lectures of the Presidential Library "Russian Ballet School: Tradition and Modernity" and "Matilda Kshesinskaya. The Brilliant Reality of Russian Ballet".

Especially for students, the Presidential Library portal offers video lectures on a variety of topics that complement the school curriculum. One such lecture, titled Knowledge of Russia, explores the main areas of the Presidential Library's collection: the history of the Russian state, law, and the role of Russian as the official language in the Russian Federation. Experts from leading scientific and educational institutions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other Russian cities deliver these lectures to students.
