
Guests of Kurgan Regional Centre of Presidential Library
The Kurgan Regional Centre of the Presidential Library, based on the A. K. Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library, was visited by representatives of Vargashinsky secondary school, where the Presidential Library's electronic reading room was opened.
The staff of the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library gave the guests an overview tour, told about the funds, valuable and rare editions, collections of the Presidential Library and its possibilities.
In the second part of the meeting there was a review of the virtual exhibition "Born during the war", which presented materials of archival documents, newspaper clippings and photographs of 1941-1945 from the funds of the Presidential Library, the Yugovka Digital Library, the State Archive of the Kurgan region and museums of the Trans-Urals.
The delegation plunged into the history of the Crimean peninsula, got acquainted with the electronic collection of the Presidential Library Republic of Crimea. The guests played an intellectual game "IKYU-Quiz" and answered questions on the history of the Crimean peninsula.
Let us remind you that today there are 43 regional centres of the Presidential Library and more than 1600 electronic reading rooms on the territory of the Russian Federation.
There are 33 electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library operating abroad in 12 countries. They are opened based on the Rossotrudnichestvo representative offices and national libraries. Visitors of the Presidential Library can work with the catalogues of these libraries and get access to world intellectual and cultural values, become participants of various projects.
