Presidential Library presents new project "Poems of Victory"

A new project "Poems of Victory" is available on the Presidential Library's Rutube channel. The project was prepared by the Presidential Library together with the Eurasia Library Assembly (LAE).

The presentation of the project took place on 28 May 2025 at the Summit of National Libraries of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, organised by the Eurasia Library Assembly with the participation of the Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Support Fund within the framework of the All-Russian Library Congress.

The media resource includes video clips featuring poems dedicated to the Great Patriotic War by national poets in the national languages of the former Soviet republics. The poetic lines are accompanied by Russian subtitles. The poems are read both by the staff of the libraries participating in the project and by invited professional performers, announcers and journalists. The poems are accompanied by visuals, including portraits of participants of the Great Patriotic War of different nationalities and photographs of memorable places.

The initiative to create a media resource "Poems of Victory" for preserving memory and sharing history through the lines of works by national poets was initiated in 2024 by Yuri Nosov, Director General of the Presidential Library, Co-Chairman of the LAE Working Group for the preparation of the 80th anniversary of Victory. The national libraries of the CIS countries – LAE members - took part in the implementation of the project.
