A delegation from Taiwan visited the Presidential Library

July 2, 2012, a delegation from Taiwan visited Presidential Library. The delegation was headed by the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations and Defense of the Parliament of Taiwan. During the visit, they learned about the activities of the library and held talks with the library’s specialists.

The delegation was led by committee chairman Lin Yu Fan, and Taiwan's ambassador to Russia, Antonio Chen. The guests of honor were offered a tour of the Presidential Library. Librarians from the electronic reading room told about the opportunities provided to users when working with electronic publications.

The main topic of the talks between the representatives of Taiwan and the library’s specialists was the research, cultural and educational activities of the Presidential Library related to the issues of statehood.

At the meeting, the guests told about the archival materials held in Taiwan in electronic form. Specialists of the Presidential Library presented the international activities and projects, including the «Foreign View» international photo competition, spoke about the system of development of electronic holdings and cooperation with cultural and educational institutions of Russia.

Representatives of Taiwan have expressed interest in cooperation with the Presidential Library in the implementation of joint cultural and educational projects.
