The Presidential Library website highlights architectural concepts of court buildings construction

In the period from September 23 to October 23, 2013 on the website of the Presidential Library www.prlib.ru there will be a public discussion of architectural concepts of construction of buildings to ensure the relocation of the Supreme and Supreme Arbitration courts of the Russian Federation to St. Petersburg.

September 16 in St. Petersburg, the first working session of the competition committee, chaired by the Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kozhin, took place. Honorable citizens of St. Petersburg, cultural and creative intelligentsia expressed their opinion on the subject. These are the famous people such as Daniil Granin, Mikhail Piotrovsky, Boris Eifman, rector of the St. Petersburg Architectural University Eugene Rybnov. Also, the commission includes the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, the city governor Georgy Poltavchenko, the chairmen of the Supreme Court and the Supreme Arbitration Court of Russia.

Following the meeting, members of the committee recognized LLC "Architectural workshop of M. Atayants", ZAO "Architectural Bureau "Zemtsov, Kondiain and Partners," LLC "Architectural Bureau "Studio 44," LLC "Evgeny Gerasimov and Partners" as the winners of the first stage of the competition.

Competition for projects will be as public and transparent as possible. Chairman of the regional creative public organization Union of Architects of Russia "St. Petersburg Union of Architects” Oleg Romanov, expressed confidence in the development of active discussion of the projects. "St. Petersburg is the city of architectural ensembles and the submitted works suggest the construction of the ensemble, complex nature in accordance with the style and aesthetics of the urban landscape. A very interesting project is being planned, and I'm sure it will inspire an active, informal discussion."

The works are also available in the St. Petersburg Architect House at: 52, Bolshaya Morskaya Street, St. Petersburg, weekdays from 12 a.m. to 18 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 13:30 p.m. to 17 p.m.
