At the World Library Congress the Presidential Library will struggle for IFLA presence in Russia

At the 83rd General Conference and Assembly of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), to be held on August 19-25, 2017, in Poland, the Presidential Library will invite this authoritative gathering in Russia. This year, events will take place in Wroclaw, where the Presidential Library will launch a campaign to receive IFLA in our country. Further, in Russia, there will be the dialogues on infrastructure support of the conference, its organizational issues.

Positive tendencies on work with IFLA were outlined in 2017: according to the results of the International Competition of Library Marketing Projects, held by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, the marketing project of the Presidential Library “Look / Read / Listen” was considered one of the top ten in the world. It will also be introduced in Poland.

In 2017, the founders of the announced by IFLA competition for the best project of library marketing, while assessing the submissions, have taken into account such criteria as a strategic approach to marketing, including those that the library applied at the research and planning stages of the submitted project; creativity and innovativeness, which allow to solve the marketing tasks of the library in an original way; and also the efficiency, confirmed by the evaluation of the results achieved during the project implementation.

Inviting IFLA to Russia, the Presidential Library apart from assuring the events of the congress, also is going to lead an extensive marketing information campaign.
