The Presidential Library released a movie about an outstanding lawyer

Shortly before the anniversary of an outstanding lawyer Yuri Tolstoy, who celebrates his 90th birthday of September 24, 2017, the Presidential Library filmed a movie about him. Apart from showing the life and professional path of one of the founders of current Russian civil law, the movie is also featuring his thoughts on relevant issues. The problems of the relationship between the state and the individual, an upbringing of today's lawyers are discussed as well; historical parallels and analogies are being analyzed. The documentary will be shown to the jubilee in person and after that it will be generally released.

Yuri Kirillovich Tolstoy was born on September 24, 1927, in Leningrad. Soviet and Russian lawyer, Professor of the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg State University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, he is the author of more than 200 scientific works, monographs, as well as several autobiographical books.
