The Day of the Omsk Cadet Military Corps in the Pushkin Omsk State Regional Scientific Library

December 5, 2017 the Omsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, acting on the basis of the Pushkin Omsk State Regional Scientific Library, organized the Day of the Omsk Cadet Military Corps in the Pushkin Library. The event was held within the framework of the cooperation agreement of August 8, 2016 between the Pushkin Omsk State Regional Scientific Library and the Omsk Cadet Military Corps.

Teachers and senior educators of the Omsk Cadet Military Corps, many of whom attended events organized by the Presidential Library for video conferencing, first got familiar with the resources of the Omsk Regional Center: the electronic reading room of the Presidential Library, the Electronic Library of the Pushkin State OGSB. Special interest was caused by rare book editions and archival affairs connected with the history of the cadet corps of Russia.

The participants of the event also visited the center of book monuments, the center of local lore information and the methodical department of the regional library. The further cooperation of the Omsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library and the Omsk Cadet Military Corps is planned for 2017/2018 academic year, including participation in the annual conference - the "Cadet Day" webinar in the Presidential Library.

The Presidential Library portal features electronic collection "Omsk region: pages of history". The proposed selection includes studies, essays, reviews and reports, archival documents, visual and audio materials, reflecting certain aspects of socio-economic, socio-political and cultural development of the Omsk region of the XVIII - the second half of the XX century.
