The key point of the agreement was the formation of a common information space in the field of history, theory and practice of Russian statehood and the Russian language as the state language of the Russian Federation. The document, in particular, provides for the operation of the center for remote access to the information resources of the Presidential Library on the basis of the Saint-Petersburg State Cultural Institution "The Mayakovski Central City Public Library". The agreement also prescribes the constant replenishment and storage of the information array of the Presidential Library, including the regional component of Saint-Petersburg, created on the basis of the funds of the Mayakovski State Library and other leading libraries, as well as the museums of Saint-Petersburg, the implementation of joint educational and cultural-educational projects, preparation and holding of events.
