The postcard presents a reproduction of the famous portrait of Alexander Sergeyevich Griboyedov. The painting was made by the artist Ivan Nikolayevich Kramskoy in 1873, commissioned by Pavel Tretyakov. Kramskoy painted a portrait from the engraving of N. Utkin in 1829, which, in turn, was performed by a chisel from the portrait of the writer of the year 1825, executed by E. Esterreich.
