The photo shows a monument to Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. In the square near the railway station of Novoborisovka station, soldiers of the 13th Guards Rifle Division, who took part in the Belgorod-Kharkov operation of the Voronezh and Steppe fronts in August 1943, were buried in a common grave. In May 1967 a monument was erected on a mass grave: on a high pedestal the sculpture of a soldier holding a helmet in his left hand, the right arm with a weapon raised for farewell salute
