The monument was erected in 1968 by the architect VA Potapov and sculptor AA Kiselev. FA Smolyachkov is depicted in a quilted jacket, a hat with a fur hat, and a rifle over his shoulder. The figure is mounted on a tetrahedral pedestal, on the front face of which is attached the image of the Order "Gold Star" and the inscription "Smolyachkov". The height of the bust is 70 centimeters, the height of the pedestal is 250. The sniper of the 42nd Army of the Leningrad Front, Theodosius Artemievich Smolyachkov (1923-1942), died during a battle on the Pulkovo heights in a duel with a German sniper.
