Shamsula Fayzullaevich Aliev was born in 1915 in Derbent. In 1942 he was drafted into the Red Army. Participated in the fighting in the North Caucasus. He fought at Mozdok. Participated in the liberation of Novorossiysk. For courage and courage was awarded two military orders. Particularly distinguished in the fighting on the Kerch Peninsula in the autumn of 1943. On November 11, 1943, Captain Aliyev was deputy battalion commander in the vicinity of the city of Kerch, which repelled three counterattacks of the enemy, 250 enemy soldiers and officers were destroyed, and ammunition depots and enemy combat equipment were seized. November 19, 1943, Captain Aliyev died the death of the brave in battle on the outskirts of Kerch. On May 16, 1944, for the exemplary fulfillment of the tasks of the command and demonstrated courage and heroism in the battles with the Nazi invaders, Captain Aliyev Shamsula Faizullaevich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumously) .
