"Vadim" is a silent art film, shot by PI Chardynin based on the same unfinished historical novel by M. Yu. Lermontov in 1910. Production: Trading House A Khanzhonkov. The premiere took place on November 2, 1910. The film without credits. - The plot of the film: The film unfolds during the Peasants' War of 1773-1775. in the vicinity of the village of Tarkhany. The landowner Palitsyn (PI Chardynin) emerges from the church gate after the service. The hunchback approaches him - the son of a neighbor who was once ruined by Palitsyn and left two orphans, Vadim and Olga, after his death. Not recognizing Vadim (N. Speransky), Palitsyn hires him into slaves. The house of the landowner Palitsyn. In the living room sits Olga (A. V. Goncharova), a pupil of Palitsyn. Palitsyn enters and introduces a new servant to the household who will recognize his sister in Olga. Vadim tells Olga the truth about their family. The elderly Palitsyn is not indifferent to Olga, he embraces and kisses her. Olga tells Vadim about what happened. Meanwhile, Palitsyn's son, Yuri (A. Gromov), returns home.
