In the left part on a white background there is an image of a gold Rostral column with a lit red torch on top, a symbolic image of salute flashes, in the right part there is an inscription in four lines: "40 years of the Great Victory". On the left edge of the bottom is a laurel branch, along the bottom edge of a ribbon of three green stripes. At the top of the date: "1941-1945", between them a red star. Yellow metal. Red, olive, dark green and white enamel. Stamping. Size 36x24 mm, the size of the shoe is 9x20 mm. Pin fastening. On the reverse side - the brand of the manufacturer: Special Design Bureau of X-ray equipment (Leningrad), price 44 kop. Location: From a private collection. - On the souvenir badge "1941-1945, 40 years of the Great Victory" is depicted the Rostral column, located on the Spit of the Vasilyevsky Island in St. Petersburg. In 1810, according to the project of the architect JF Tom de Tomon, two Rostral columns were installed. One of them was a beacon for ships on the Malaya Neva, the other - pointed the way to the Great Neva. The lighthouses were lit at night and in the fog, they served until 1885. Rostral columns are a monument of naval glory of Russia.
