The Jerusalem icon of the Mother of God, according to legend, is a list of one of the 70 icons written by the Evangelist Luke. The image refers to the iconographic type "Hodegetria" ("The Guide") and exists in several lists from the icon. This image is characterized by the image of the young man-Christ, who is sitting in the hands of the Virgin, represented in the belt image.
