The postcard was issued for the 200th anniversary of the poet's birthday and is devoted to the part of Pushkin's life connected with living in Demutovy Tavern. On the front side there is a self-portrait of Alexander Pushkin written during his stay in the tavern and an image of the fragment of the intersection of Nevsky Prospekt and Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street, not far from the location of the Demutov's building. On the back there is a brief reference about the institution and a fragment from the letter of the poet S. D. Kiselyov. Currently, in the building of the Demutov inn is the Variety Theater.
