In the case, the projects of a medal and a token are presented in memory of the construction of the monument to Nicholas I in the city of Kiev. The author of the projects is academician of architecture Vladimir Nikolaev. Monument (sculptor - M. Chizhov, pedestal - architect V. Nikolaev) was installed in the university park and was inaugurated in August 1896 during the stay in Kiev of Nicholas II. The name of Nicholas I in Kiev was traditionally associated with the opening of the University and the Institute of Noble Maidens. The monument was demolished in 1920 .
