On the postcard photo of the architectural monument Baidarskie Gates. It was built in 1848 according to the project of Yalta architect Karl Ivanovich Eshliman in honor of the completion of the construction of the Yalta-Sevastopol highway through the Baydar Pass. According to the author's idea, this architectural structure should serve as a "front entrance" to the territory of the Crimea, to be exact, its southern coast. The Baydar Gate is a mountain pass through the main range of the Crimean Mountains at an altitude of 503 m above sea level, leading from the Baydar valley to the southern coast of the Crimea. It is located between Mount Chelebi (657 m) in the west and Chho-Bair (705 m) in the east
