The first volume of the publication was published in early 1925 - before the territorial reform in Central Asia, as a result of which the Kyrgyz The ASSR was renamed the Kazakh ASSR. Simultaneously with the renaming of the republic, its capital was transferred from Orenburg to the city of Kzyl-Orda. These changes were reflected in the second volume, which is devoted to the zoning of Kazakhstan
