The case contains documents related to the history of the Irkutsk Teachers' Seminary, founded in 1872 and providing teacher training for primary schools. With the restoration of Soviet power in Irkutsk, the teacher's seminary was renamed into three-month pedagogical courses, and in 1926 into a pedagogical technical school. In 1937, on the basis of a pedagogical college, Irkutsk Pedagogical School No. 1 (now Irkutsk State Pedagogical College No. 1) .
