The album includes 12 photos of the obelisk "Hero City" Leningrad ": 1-3. General view of the obelisk on the Uprising Square; 4-8. Fragments of the obelisk - oval high reliefs; 9. High relief "Blockade"; 10. High relief "Victory"; 11. High relief "Attack"; 12. High relief "Rear-front."
The obelisk "Hero-City of Leningrad" was installed on the Vosstaniya Square in 1985. The authors of the project are architects VS Lukyanov and AI Alymov. The monument is a vertical granite monolith with a total height of 36 meters, decorated with bronze high reliefs and crowned with the "Golden Star of Hero." The authors of the reliefs are sculptors A. S. Charkin, V. D. Sveshnikov, B. A. Petrov, A. A. Vinogradov. The reliefs set in the lower part of the obelisk depict the main moments of the defense of Leningrad: "Blockade", "Rear to the front", "Attack", "Victory". On the ornamental cartouche inscription - "City-Hero Leningrad". Above the high reliefs, the pentahedral monolithic trunk is framed by the bronze crown of Glory. Address: пл. Rebellions .
