The photo shows a monument to soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. 12 soldiers of the 6th Army were buried in the center of the village of Oktyabrskaya Gotnya in a mass grave. They took part in the Belgorod-Kharkov operation of the Voronezh and Steppe fronts in August 1943. In 1976, in honor of the soldiers who died for the liberation of the village of soldiers on a mass grave, a monument was erected for the "Sorrowful Mother", the names of the buried are listed on a memorial plaque located on the pedestal of the monument .
