The play begins with the military council in Fili on September 1, 1812. The second action takes place on the same day in the Bakhtiny family in Moscow, on the Arbat. In the house of Bakhtins there is a hospital for the wounded Russian soldiers. The French army enters the city. The play describes ruin, robbery, robbery, the fire of Moscow. Tanya Bakhtin, who was trying to stop the marauders, was arrested. It leads to Napoleon in the Peter's Palace. V-th action takes place on November 16, 1812 at the river Berezina. Captured Tanya is beaten by D. Davydov's detachment. - Among the actors historical personalities: MI Golenischev-Kutuzov, MB Barclay de Tolly, KF Tol, AP Ermolov, Napoleon I, AI Osterman-Tolstoy, N.
