International training seminar "Electronic libraries: the formation and cataloging of digital resources "was held on March 13 - 14, 2013 in Astana (Kazakhstan). Leading specialists of the Presidential Library - the national information, innovation, humanitarian and educational center of Russia - train specialists from scientific, university and public libraries in Kazakhstan to work with electronic catalogs, the formation of digital collections, and also represent other relevant areas of the industry. The seminar is attended by more than 40 specialists, the program is designed for 2 days and includes lectures on the methodology for the formation of digital collections based on the object-oriented approach, on the methods of cataloging and indexing various types of electronic resources. The program of the visit of the delegation of the Presidential Library to Kazakhstan also includes a visit to the leading libraries of Astana and the Rossotrudnichestvo office. A unique edition of the biographical encyclopedia "Nazarbayev Nursultan Abishevich - the founder of an independent state" was donated to the Presidential Library.
