Family tragedy during the Patriotic War. The action takes place between June 20 and December 25, 1812. The characters are civilians of the Smolensk Province, militia, military. In the I-th action sounds "March of the Russian Guard" ("Preobrazhensky March"), written in 1805. Under the sounds of this march, Russian troops entered Paris in 1814. (S.N. Marina, music was restored by V.M. Kazhinsky) .
