On the postcard photo of the rocks Diva and Monk, located on the coast of Simeiz. The Rock of Diva is a spur of the Crimean mountains surrounded by the sea, projecting over the surface of the water by 53 meters. Its outlines resemble a girl emerging from the sea. In the Middle Ages, there was a guard fortification on the rock - an observation post, now there is a special platform, on which a stone staircase leads in 260 steps. Between the rock Diva and the shore is a rock Monk - a pillar-shaped block resembles a human figure in a long garment with a hood on its head. The earthquake of 1927 and the strongest January storm of 1931 became fatal for Monk - the monolith collapsed into several pieces. Today instead of Monk huge boulders resemble a stone flower. - The materials of the site "Journal" Crimea "are used (http: //xn--80alndgcuev0g.xn--p1ai/bolshaya_yalta/gory_i_perevaly_bolshoj_yalty/312-skala-diva-i-monah.html) .
