The selection of materials includes: a photograph of the jubilee medal "70 years of the Armed Forces of the USSR" and a certificate for the medal of Smolin Georgy Ivanovich. In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of January 28, 1988 Smolin Georgiy Ivanovich was awarded the jubilee medal "70 years of the Armed Forces of the USSR." The medal was awarded ... February 1988. The medal is a regular circle with a diameter of 32 mm, made of brass. On the front side of the coin: in the central part are placed profile portraits of the pilot, sailor and soldier of the land forces, facing to the left. On the circumference of the medal are the laurel branches. In the upper part of the obverse of the medal - an image of a five-pointed star with a sickle and a hammer in the center, in the bottom - the two figures "1918" and "1988". On the reverse side of the medal in five lines is the inscription "70 YEARS OF ARMED FORCES OF THE USSR". Below the inscription is a laurel-oak wreath. The edges of the medal are edged with a ledge. All inscriptions and images on the medal are convex. The medal with the ear and ring is connected to a pentagonal shoe, covered with a silk moire ribbon of red color. The edges of the ribbon are edged with green stripes, in the middle of the tape there is a longitudinal strip of blue color and two strips of golden color on both sides of the blue. Certificate to the medal: no number. The document is filled with blue ink, certified by the seal of the Gulkevichsky District Military Committee of the Krasnodar Territory.
