The publication was published in Leningrad and Moscow, in the publishing houses: State Publishing House, Party Publishing House.
The decision to prepare the second edition of the works of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin was was adopted at the Thirteenth Congress of the RCP (B.) in 1924. The second edition was supplemented by new works of VI Lenin, which were absent in the first edition, the texts of works were copied with the original sources - manuscripts and authorized (VI Lenin's) publications. The collection was provided with a scientific reference device: an introduction, notes, various indexes; party documents and other materials were published as separate annexes to separate volumes. In all, the collection included 2778 works by VI Lenin. The second edition includes 30 volumes, issued from 30 to 95 thousand copies, and all the volumes were also printed. The publication was published in 1926, during 1927-1933. and in 1935 .
