The selection of materials includes: a photograph of the medal "For the capture of Vienna" and a certificate for the medal of Vasily Finogenov (1902-1984). Guards lieutenant colonel Finogenov Vasily Semenovich for participating in the heroic assault and capture of Vienna by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 9, 1945 was awarded the medal "For the capture of Vienna." The medal was awarded on February 23, 1946. The medal is a regular circle with a diameter of 32 mm. On the front side of the coin: in the center there is the inscription "FOR THE VISION OF VIENNA", above the inscription at the top is a five-pointed star, at the bottom - the laurel branch. On the reverse side of the medal the date of the capture of Vienna: "April 13, 1945", over the date - the five-pointed star. All inscriptions and images on the medal are convex. The medal with the ear and ring is connected to a pentagonal shoe, covered with a blue silk moire ribbon, in the middle of the tape - a blue strip. Features of the medal: the ear of the medal is attached by soldering. This option was manufactured immediately after the end of the Great Patriotic War in 1945-1946. The certificate to the medal: A No. 093551. On the certificate the coat of arms of the USSR has 11 ribbons. The document is filled with purple ink, sealed. On the certificate is a handwritten signature: Com. 49 Gd. Kherson. Cr. sign. hordes. Suvorov Division of the Guards. general major tank. troits Troitsky. Location: From private collection .
