Presented: a photograph of Yury Mikhailovich Chigirev (1987, in a ceremonial suit, with awards) and a photograph of the commemorative medal "Gomel Red Banner Ordard Suvorov 283 pp. XXX Years" (front and back). On the front side of the coin: in the center - a five-pointed star, covered with red enamel. On the star placed - a relief image of a sickle and a hammer, the inscription "283 p. Division". On the circumference of the medal is the inscription: "Gomel Red Banner Ord. Suvorov", in the lower part under the star inscription "ХХХ years". On the reverse side of the coin: on the circumference there is the inscription "Kursk region", in the center there is an inscription and dates "Shchigry 1941 - 1971". The edges of the medal are edged with a ledge. The images and inscriptions on the medal are convex. The medal with the eyelet and the ring is connected to a quadrangular metal shoe covered with red enamel. On the block are placed relief images of the Order of the Red Banner and the Order of Suvorov II degree. Location: From a private collection. - Chigirev Yury Mikhailovich (born January 20, 1925 in Rostov, Yaroslavl Region) - went to the front in January 1943. He studied at the Tambov Machine-Gun School. Member of the Battle of Kursk. He fought in the Bryansk Front. Was injured. He fought in the third Belorussian Front. Participated in the combat operation "Bagration".
