On March 18, 2011, as part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Internal Troops of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Yeltsin Presidential Library hosted a scientific and practical conference on the history and current stage of the development of the Russian Federation's internal troops. Participation in the conference was attended by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the commander-in-chief of the internal troops, the commanders of the regional commands of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, representatives of the interacting authorities, power structures, leadership and the public of St. Petersburg. In the exhibition hall of the Presidential Library the staff of the Central Museum of Internal Troops of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia organized an exhibition at which photographs, military uniforms and equipment, and weapons were presented. A five-volume edition, The History of Internal Troops, was published in 2011 as a gift to the Presidential Library. At the end of the conference, the solemn awarding of the jubilee medal "200 years to the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia" was held. Among the awarded are the Director General of the Presidential Library named after B.N. Yeltsin, AP Vershinin.
