On September 8, 2011, the Presidential Library of Boris Yeltsin was visited by a delegation from the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For the guests there was organized a tour of the Presidential Library with a visit to the electronic, reading and exhibition halls, a conference hall and a multimedia complex. After the excursion, the delegation had a planned meeting with the general director and specialists of the Presidential Library, where issues of possible cooperation in the exchange of information resources were discussed. The first experience of such an exchange took place within the framework of the meeting. The guests handed over to the Presidential Library digital copies of rare editions of the XIX century on the geography of Central Asia, documents reflecting the participation of Kazakhstan in the Great Patriotic War, several issues of the Red Army newspaper "For the Motherland", issued in 1943-1946. The presented documents will be included in the collections of the Presidential Library "Memory of the Great Victory" and "Territory of Russia." |
