Explosion of a railway bridge across the Desna river in the Vygonichi district (popularly - "Blue Bridge") was produced in the night from 7 to 8 March 1943, Bryansk partisans from the detachment. Shchorsa. The bridge was of strategic importance for the German army. From Germany, on the Gomel-Bryansk road, echelons with soldiers and equipment were passing by the bridge around the clock.
