The idea of ​​its creation belonged to engineer A. Abrahamson. It was built in 1902-1905. on the project of engineers N. Pyatnitsky and N. Baryshnikov. Inaugurated on May 7, 1905. The length of the lift is 200 m. The funicular consists of a special railroad track, upper and lower stations with landing areas and wagons, which are driven by cables. At present it is reconstructed and continues to be used .
