Svyatogorsky Holy Dormition Monastery - Orthodox monastery in the village. Pushkin mountains of the Pskov region. Founded in 1569 by the order of Tsar Ivan the Terrible as one of the border outposts of the Russian kingdom. In the monastery in the ancestral burial vault of the Hannibal-Pushkin there is the burial place of Alexander Pushkin. AS Pushkin was buried on the morning of February 6, 1837 at the altar of the Assumption Cathedral. A wooden cross with the inscription "Pushkin" was placed on the grave. A modern monument on the grave was erected in 1841.
