June 7, 2011 Presidential Library. Boris N. Yeltsin opened in the Kyrgyz Republic a center for access to its electronic resources. His presentation took place within the framework of the beginning of the work in Bishkek of the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC). The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic E. S. Kaptagaev, the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for relations with the CIS countries, the head of Rossotrudnichestvo FM Mukhametshin, as well as cultural and scientific figures, heads of public organizations of Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The staff of the Presidential Library demonstrated the capabilities of users when working with electronic materials. The electronic collection "Kyrgyzstan: geography, ethnography, history" prepared on the Presidential Library portal was presented. The delegation of the Presidential Library also took part in the events timed to the Day of the Russian Language. In addition, representatives of the Presidential Library visited the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic, where they held talks with the library director Zh. K. Bakashova. During the meeting, the provisions of the draft Memorandum of Cooperation between the Presidential Library and the National Library of Kyrgyzstan were discussed, as well as issues of cooperation in projects on the digitization of Russian-language funds of the National Library of Kyrgyzstan.
