The Assumption Cathedral is the main church of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, built in 1073-1078. under Prince Svyatoslav Yaroslavovich. Throughout the centuries-old history, the cathedral has been repeatedly subjected to numerous perestroika. After the fire of 1720, it was substantially reconstructed, as a result of which the cathedral acquired the features of Ukrainian baroque. In November 1941 it was blown up, in 2000 it was rebuilt in the forms of the XVIII century. Now acting.
