The Assumption Cathedral is the main church of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, built in 1073-1078. under Prince Svyatoslav Yaroslavovich. Throughout the centuries-old history, the cathedral has been repeatedly subjected to numerous perestroika. After the fire of 1720, it was substantially reconstructed, as a result of which the cathedral acquired the features of Ukrainian baroque.
