Nikita Vasilievich Chernyavsky, a native of the village of Malobykovo in the Budyonovsky district of the Voronezh region, was a participant in the Great Patriotic War. Called to the war in September 1941, he graduated from a tank school, served on the Leningrad front in the 82nd tank regiment, served as deputy company commander for the technical part. From February 1942 to 1944 participated in the defense of Leningrad, with the liberation of the city of Pushkin was wounded. At the end of 1944, he participated in the liberation of the city of Tallinn. In 1945, the tank regiment was transferred to Germany and stood in reserve 50 kilometers from Berlin. NV Chernyavskikh demobilized in September 1946 in the rank of lieutenant of the 20th Panzer Division. He was awarded the medal "For Courage".
