The figure depicts a fragment of the battle, for showing courage in which the spearhead of the Life Guard Artillery Division's 1st Mortar Artillery Division, Spiridon Berezin, was awarded the 2nd-degree St. George cross. During the First World War, the sub-lieutenant S. Berezin was also awarded the St. George crosses of the 4th, 3rd and 1st degree .
