The State Museum of the History of Religion (Saint-Petersburg) hosted an exhibition, devoted to Shrovetide - noisy and cheerful holiday of farewelling winter and meeting spring. In most Christian countries, Shrovetide is celebrated before the Great Lent. It showcases lithographs, linocuts, watercolors, postcards, printed silk scarves and statues from the State Museum of the History of Religion collection.

The Presidential Library hosted a cinema club meeting dedicated to the centenary anniversary of Mikhail Kalashnikov. The event was co-organized by the Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps. At the end of watching the film by Rasim Poloskin “Kalashnikov. A Man and an Assault Rifle”, the meeting participants, mainly cadets of military schools, talked about creating a unique “kalash” and a non-standard personality of its designer.

To mark the event the Presidential Library has developed a special digital collection including the materials that reflect the relations between the APEC and the Russian Federation which has been a member of the APEC since 1998, as well as the history of international relations in the Pacific Rim.

Representatives of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library visited the students of the Yekaterinburg Suvorov Military School. The staff visited the library, got acquainted with the pupils of the fifth company of the school and held a review meeting “Archives remember everything”, where they used the set of documents World War II in Archival Documents from the Presidential Library’s portal.
